Established in 1978 , Zhejiang Machinery and Equipment Import and Equipment Impport and Export Corporation (ZMEC) is a state owned enterprise specialized in import and rquipment . In 1991,its buiness value of import and export reached USD100 million . Since then , the annual buiness value of ZMEC has been maintaining between USD100 million and USD150 million , of which about 70%belongs to export . Currently ,ZMEC has d staff force of 230 ,the majority of them have an educational background of undergraduate study or over .
Even since its founding , ZMEC has laid special emphasis on export of technology intensive complete plants that are technically and price - wise competitive in the overseas markets . By the end of 1997, the total value of its complete plant export has come to USD 200 million with clients over 25 countries in America , Europe , Africa and Asia .
